bios is a drupal content type we created to allow participants to introduce themselves to the public. In drupal a content type is a node, like a blog, page or forum. Class refers to a particular class of students at a particular school that is offering the OLCC (the course). So many classes can be taking the same course. The same lecturers teach the course to all the classes, but each class is a unique set of students with it's own resident faculty facilitator, the instructor of record.

OLCC: OnLine Chemistry Course, or OnLine College Course.  OLCCs have been run by the CCCE since 1996 and more information can be found at http://www.ccce.divched.org/OLCC. OLCC's use collaborative teaching to allow schools to offer courses they may not otherwise be able to offer.
