In the context of the hybrid OLCC model, there are two types of faculty, Facilitator and Lecturer. The facilitator is the instructor of record who meets face-to-face with the students of the class at his/her school, and the facilitator is responsible for all grade related activity. Normally, the OLCC would be considered as part of he facilitator's teaching load, and the facilitator does not have to be an expert in the field of the OLCC. In fact the facilitator could be using the OLCC as a form of professional development to acquire expertise in the subject domain.
